What important changes have been presented recently?
We have launched the product’s version 7 which has had obvious progress in terms of functionality and technology.
Maximo is today the only solution which serves companies’ assets both technological and operational
In general terms, how has the clients’ experience been with the tool?
At present Maximo has more than 10,000 clients worldwide. Without any doubt with a powerful number of users.
Given this I believe the experiences speak for themselves. It is the case with SQM, for example, whose profits have been very satisfactory. It has optimized maintenance and material costs as well as others.
In fact, there have been companies in Latin America which have published profits of nearly 70 million dollars.
In short, the solution’s maintenance costs are very low in comparison to other similar solutions on the market.
What are the next challenges?
Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) challenges are to bring even closer the technological assets with those from the operating area. All this associated with the financial gains of the corporation.
With respect to Maximo we expect in the next 10 years to increase the functionalities for specific industries (transport, oil and gas, public service and pharmaceutical amongst others).
