This is achieved with the program Growth Through Skills which endorses more specialized channels. With this in mind IBM defined different groups of authorized products with a series of prerequisites which companies must meet to be able to commercialize these said products. This new plan will become effective as of this coming October and SOLEX already figures worldwide amongst the first companies authorized to commercialize the MAXIMO family solutions belonging to the Tivoli Enterprise Asset Management groups as well as Tivoli Automation.
“This is just one more indicator of our focus and specialization that we have in this solution” assures Jorge Hoyl, General Manager of Solex.
Growth Through Skills is a program which assumes an evolution in open distribution current until now which permits any company, qualified or not, to commercialize IBM products.
The idea is that once it is put in place it will clearly show the companies which fulfill the specific requirements to commercialize the distinct groups. This way IBM partners will be able to offer a greater added value to their customers with more solid and expert business solutions.
In this context Solex has been one of the first companies to certify itself in the category of Maximo, not only for Industrial Asset Management but also for IT Asset Management.
To do this it has been necessary to demonstrate that it complies with all the requirements demanded in order to be able to commercialize these products. “First we had to prove that we have a business and action plans to sale said solutions. Secondly, that we have the technical certifications in order to guarantee the experience y capacity to implement. And lastly, that we possess the commercial certifications which guarantees how the resources will be used to effectively perform the business and sale of the specified block”, points out Jorge Hoyl.
According to Solex’s expert “the fact that we have been authorized even before the program takes effect is without a doubt very important for the company. In addition, our company’s policy has always been to be in the vanguard in accreditations and certifications in order to constantly be improving our work. And of course this merit is just one more proof of it” says the executive.
