Business Partner Advisory Council – Anticipating Maximo’s future

North Carolina, USA, July 2009. With the objective of sharing success experiences and to know firsthand the projects which IBM plans to develop for Maximo, SOLEX participated in the III reunion of the Business Partner Advisory Council, a meeting of IBM exclusive business associates specializing in Maximo on a worldwide level.

To go into details of the event and the importance of being the only Latin American company to be invited, we speak with Jorge Hoyl, General manager of Solex.

In the state of North Carolina, United States was held this important Advisory Council which comprised of specialists from various areas of the solution. This year 6 important North American Business Partners attended with only one Latin American representative that being Solex. Without a doubt this positions the company as being one of the most reliable, serious and experienced not only in Chile but also outside.

During this reunion several subject matters were discussed such as market tendencies, competition, challenges and the projects which are hoped to be delivered with Maximo.
In addition, all participants had the possibility to present their experiences, to enquire in advance of the new functionalities to come and to express their opinions regarding the functionalities that the tool’s new versions should have.
“I believe that this meeting was extremely positive as it allowed us to design guidelines in advance which is highly beneficial for all of us”, explained Hoyl. “The fact that we know in advance the news is undoubtedly a plus which not any organization has. In this sense, this is the third time that IBM has had this reunion and invites partners to participate. The idea is that with its investment it contributes to create a better product and therefore a better business. Here we find out on one hand about the investment with respect to marketing, market studies and clients’ necessities by industry segments whereas on the other hand they brought us up to date regarding the new versions, with better functionalities, new technologies and integration to other products”.
In short, a highly profitable and of great importance if you come to think that the only representation outside of North America to discuss the future of the tool is Solex.
